On Friday, September 5, Which Wich of Coronado brought some old fashioned comfort food to children and parents staying at Ronald McDonald House, serving up more than a hundred peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches for lunch.

Hope at the Center

Since 1991, the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) has provided hope and healing to the most severely abused children in Dallas County. Last year alone, DCAC provided free services to more than 2,400 children who were sexually abused, severely physically abused, or who had witnessed a violent crime.

 

DCAC provides a warm, child-friendly environment to help children who are referred by law enforcement or child protective services. DCAC has expert child therapists who provide art therapy, play therapy, animal assisted therapy and music therapy to help children process trauma and heal emotional scars as a result of abuse.

PB&Js For Kids

Houston-area Which Wich restaurants recently teamed up with Kids’ Meals, Inc. to help end hunger in the Houston area. The stores have committed to donate 3,000 wiches to Houston children throughout the summer and the first donation of 1,000 PB&Js took place on Thursday, July 10.
